The Dress Was the Hard Part...

One of my most meaningful sewing projects was designing and making my own wedding dress. I wanted something soft, romantic, and whimsical, with natural movement and comfort rather than a structured, boned silhouette.

The dress features a satin silk lining with a silk chiffon overlay, flowing petal sleeves, and a softly draped skirt that moves beautifully with every step. Creating it allowed me to combine careful craftsmanship with personal design, and deepened my appreciation for the detail and skill involved in creating truly special garments.
